Stephan Peterman, architect and researcher at OMA gave us a talk on both the OMA Elements of Architecture Venice Biennale as well as his current project which explores the work place in contemporary culture. He spoke about the format and approach of research and the importance of collages and diagrams within this. Research as a form to explore current themes and challenge contemporary assertions and architectural typologies.
The day also included some of the students presenting their own research now articulated through the format of the timeline. Whilst Martina explored the relationship between 20th century Germany and Argentina inn elation to the art world, Federica discussed the White Cube as an obsolete 21st century museum typology and Linus discussed the beginning of keeping and displaying public and private in relation to the birth of the British museum.
